It's Official: I'm No Longer A Daddy

Well, it's over. Marisa announced today that she is too big to call me 'Daddy'. She will now address me as Dad. This follows the devastating pronouncement by Alex a little while ago about his desire to stop calling me Daddy.

I told her that she would not get a Happy Meal from McDonalds today if she called me Dad. She called my bluff and said, "You're just kidding, Dad." She was right, we went anyway. I really need to work on my poker face.

I have a funny feeling, though, that she will pull the 'Daddy card' some time in the future when she wants something from me.
