The Cubs' record right now is 54-54 with 54 games left. The time is now for them to start making a move. Winning the division has been out of the question for quite a long time now as the Cardinals are 28 games above .500. Their biggest wildcard competition comes from the Nationals and the Astros who are 8 and 10 games above .500 respectively. The Cubs probably need to go 36-18 (.667) the rest of the way in to have a chance at making the playoffs. This basically means that they have to win every series the rest of the way in. As hard as that may sound, it is possible now that a healthy(?) Nomar is back and with Kerry Wood coming back soon, possibly in a role coming out of the bullpen. Let's go Cubbies. I believe!
