Bad Streak

I am in the middle of a horrible streak playing in single-table no limit hold 'em tournaments. Of the last twelve tourneys, I've only cashed once. I have even come in tenth place twice! I've had a lot of bad beats where I was way ahead in a hand until the river card. The excuse that I choose to use for this streak is that I have been reading some poker 'advice' columns that are telling me that the way I have been playing is wrong. So when a situation arises, I am conflicted in how I should play it. I need to get back to my natural style and stop listening to the so called experts.

Update: I won the very next tournament I played after posting this.
