Today is election day. I have absolutely no interest in voting. The main race in today's election is for the city of Los Angeles Mayor. This is a run-off vote between current Mayor James Hahn and Assembly Speaker Antonio Villaraigosa. Usually if there is no one I am supporting on the ballot, I will at least try to vote for the 'lesser of two evils'. In this case, they are both horrible candidates. I am not going to vote. It is kind of sad that I feel this way, when the good people of Iraq just had their first democratic election where people were risking physical harm (or worse) to go out to vote. No purple ink-dipped finger for me.
