Poker Tournament Result-12/30/04

Since I have nothing better to write about, I will summarize an online poker tournament I played last night.

It was a $5+.50 No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em tournanment. There were 803 entrants. I ended up in 16th place for a payout of $40. Not too bad. It was a good tournament for me because while I was always in a short stack situation, I still cashed. We started with 800 chips, and at one point very early on I was down to 160 chips. I was playing survival poker most of the tournament. I must have gone 'all-in' about 10-15 times. If only I were able to catch a few hands towards the end, I might have been able to hold on to win the $850 first prize.
