Harriet Miers

This is my first immediate reaction. I just saw the nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court by President Bush about ten minutes ago. The one thing that stuck out to me from her background was the fact that she has an undergraduate degree in mathematics.

In my opinion, this means that she will be less likely to be using her feelings when making judicial rulings. As a math major, she will probably be using the more logical part of her brain. This is what I want in a judge.
